EQUINOX & HOLI — THE BEGINNING OF A NEW COSMIC CYCLE.

The Vernal or Spring Equinox for the Northern hemisphere is today! (Mar 20th, 2022)
Ancient cultures acknowledge and celebrate Equinoxes and Solstices as sacred times of the year that signal the changes of the season on Mother Earth.
The March Vernal Equinox is the beginning of the Spring season in the Northern Hemisphere and the Autumn season in the Southern Hemisphere.
Equinox comes from the Latin Aequus (equal) and Nox (night) and symbolizes a time of new beginnings, balance, equanimity and
We experience two Equinoxes every year where the Earth’s tilt on this day is such that it centers and aligns directly with the Sun to have it’s light shining equally on its surface.

This day of Equinox is a reminder where we can center ourselves, the way Mother Earth centers herself to her source of Light, the Sun.
This day offers us an opportunity to see all experienced light and dark as equal and to recognize the roles their experiences play in our physical manifested Life.
The energy of this day invites us to see the deep meaning in and of our lives.
How can we pause, give conscious attention and align our body-minds cycle with nature’s cycle?
How can we deepen into our inner spiritual journey and see the wisdom that resides there?

A SYMBOLIC AND MEANINGFUL TIME OF THE YEAR

It’s Springtime.
A time when a new cycle has come alive on the surface for our senses to celebrate.
In India, we celebrate the festival of love and colors called Holi at this time.
Life is abloom with the manifested Love in Nature.
All of Life’s wisdom is available symbolically at this time when we choose to see it.
As more (sun)light streams in, we see how she is alive all around us.
Animals birth new life, tender saplings start unfurling their new face.
It is a season of new births, rejuvenation, and beginnings!
There’s a new optimistic spring in our step!
We get to give meaning to the Life we live and see.

HOLI AND KRISHNA LOVE

Krishna (Consciousness) in the Sri Bhagavad Gita says,
बृहत्साम तथा साम्नां गायत्री छन्दसामहम् |
मासानां मार्गशीर्षोऽहमृतूनां कुसुमाकर: || 35||
Bṛihat-sāma tathā sāmnāṁ gāyatrī chhandasām aham
Māsānāṁ mārga-śhīrṣho ’ham ṛitūnāṁ kusumākaraḥ

Amongst the hymns in the Samaveda know me to be the Brihatsama; amongst poetic meters, I am the Gayatri. Of the twelve months of the Hindu calendar, I am Margsheersh, and of seasons I am Spring, which brings forth flowers.

Krishna (Consciousness) is considered the most accessible at this time.
A time of possibility for us to connect and live in from our most profound and highest self.
All our festivals are connected to mythical tales featuring Devas/Gods and Asuras/Demons.
These stories are intrinsically linked to our spiritual self and point us to what transpires within and without.
Krishna is Vishnu’s avatar — a symbol for preservation.
Energy through destruction and creation is now moving into a phase of preservation.
What is it that we are called to preserve? And how?
What is the connection between our Body-Minds, and how can we restore ourselves and our Mother Earth?

This Equinox, we take the pause and come together to celebrate this cycle of Mother Earth.
All indigenous wisdom point to how our ancestral lineages clearly speak to us at this time.
We intentionally allow our body-minds to align with our core.
As each of our hearts in these times call out to see how we may heal and live our new world, we open ourselves fully to this sacred opening.
As our chakras vibrate with and as hers, as our true self we release our old ways of being and live a new humanity.
May what is only her reign and ring true!

THE BEGINNING OF A NEW COSMIC CYCLE

We are beginning a new cosmic cycle.
The veil is thinning, and a new cosmic cycle is underway.
From Kaliyuga, a time of extreme darkness where the Maya is thick with and in the illusion of the Body-Mind-World, we are emerging anew as potentials and possibilities open up for each of us.
Life is moving as a dance of polarities.
We are creators, and we get to choose.
What are we (un)consciously aligning with?
This Equinox is a time when we realize and recognize the balance, a center zero point — a space available for each of us within and without.

— What do balance and well-being mean to me?
— How do I sense and feel my deepest centered space?
— How is Life moving in and around me at this time?
— How and what am I called to move towards?
— How is Life, my ancestors, their wisdom, and people gathering around me?
— How am I responding to what I am uniquely being called to be and support?
— How can I fully receive so I may give?
— How can my body-mind become the portal for this synchronous flow of receiving and giving?
— What does that look like in manifested word and action?
— How can I live the days ahead connected to my innate nature and my Mother Earth?
— What is the true gift in and of these challenging times?

The inner Sun is and shines on us all equally.
Each one of us is deeply supported in being and playing our part in this time of transformation.
Not to simmer in these questions for too long but to actually feel them, and then let them go into the light and air around you.
Steeping in the silence of your being from which all that we know is always answered.

THE WISDOM OF PRANA

To align with nature is to recognize all is Prana.
This Life’s vital energy is everywhere, and everything and is dancing in and as manifestation.
Cycles within cycles, we experience how our every in-breath is a new birth and a new beginning and how our every out-breath is a death and a sacred ending that creates a way for the new to appear.
On Equinox, the dance of Prana reminds us of our true self and the center zero point.
A flow of continuous in and out.
And the importance of the power of the pause.
In the pause, the stillness that occurs between breaths, we hold the possibility to experience what already is and lies just beyond the realm of experience.
We find that which is the root from which the plant of life grows.

Our one conscious breath can change lives, change worlds and restore everything back into balance.
A day of silence, contemplation, prayer, and gratitude.
May today’s energy be the doorway as we step into a time of balance, harmony, and equanimity for ourselves and our world.
All that is, dances in its/our true nature and shines in the magic of its/our being!

सदैव देवत्वं दर्शयामि
ॐ मङ्गलायै नमः
Sadaiva Devatwam Darshayami.
Oṃ maṅgalāyai namaḥ.

I be, see, live, and manifest divinity.
All is auspiciousness.
To celebrating all the colors of Life!

MANGALAM — ALL IS AUSPICIOUSNESS.

Our being/seeing/living creates our world.
A prayer peace chant that can be embodied as we listen and reverberate the joyful auspiciousness we are in as our world.
