Sedona

I open my eyes as the Sun
And my world lights up.
Life that is me before my very eyes.
In and through all my senses.
I am here. I am alive.

Yesterday all eluded me.
Clouds covered this azure sky.
All seemed dull and fermented.
Frayed at the edges.
All here and yet not.

So I sat in the opaqueness of it.
Errant gusts chilling my cheeks.
Nipping wildly the edges of my ears.
Only a whisper of a do you hear me?
Oh what flavors of me you bring to life.

The quiet of another velvety night falling.
As a deep ache of a blanket.
The infinite vastness of me.
Beckoning…
I see not what holds me captive.
And yet I unequivocally know I am free.

The morning’s glow now awakens.
The birds chirping a new song.
There is no distance, my darling.
Between the Tree, you and I.
Its bare branches, our very bones.

My breathing a fervent pulse
Beats everywhere.
Shimmering alive is what we are.
The wind caresses her song again.
Will you be the flute to my breath?

A ray of light glints right into my eye.
Even before I can conjure up a purr.
An unnamable gladness filling my whole being.
Face kissing the sky, I twirl in my madness.
The heart knows no bounds.

Besotted on a mountain top.
Soul weaving its magic in motion.
My whole world swoons with me.
Anything is possible.
With this love that I feel.
